ARE KIDS SELECTED BASED ON WHO THEY KNOW?

NO, any kid can nominate themselves during the nomination process to be entered into a random draw of a computer program in hopes of receiving a bid.

CAN WE BRING ANYONE AS OUR DATE TO THE DANCE?

Assembly members can bring anyone they would like to the dance up to the age of 20.  They do not have to be from a Nevada school.  Boys can bring a girl or a boy, and girls can do the same.  There are NO RULES on what gender you can or cannot bring.

ARE KIDS CHOSEN BASED ON ACCADEMICS AND GRADES?

No, Kids are selected randomly after the nomination process is completed.

CAN I GET KICKED OUT FOR BAD BEHAVIOR?

YES, Junior Assembly is a non-profit association that has the right to revoke membership at any time due to drug or alcohol use or other bad behavior while attending any of our events.

IS JUNIOR ASSEMBLY A PART OF THE WCSD?

NO, Junior Assembly is a non-profit organization that does not have any affiliation with individual schools.  We do however use the zoning guidelines for WCSD to base numbers of how many kids can attend from each prospective area.

IS JA OPEN TO ANY RACE, RELIGION, GENDER, OR BELIEFS?

YES, discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated in any way.
